CPSC Proposes Safety Standards for Soft Infant and Toddler Carriers    < 2013-05-24 >

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has proposed a new safety standard (16 CFR 1226) for soft infant and toddler carriers. The safety standard is established based on the voluntary ASTM standard for soft infant and toddler carriers (ASTM F2236-13) without alteration. According to the standard, the soft infant and toddler carriers designed to carry a child in an upright position are covered by the standard.
