Armani, Versace, Missoni, Prada, Fendi, Gucci – these ones and many other Italian fashion houses are celebrating international success which brave the crisis. ‘Made in Italy’ is celebrating a remarkable comeback. Also Uno Maglia has a reason to be pleased.

“The 15 best known luxury fashion brands are among our customers,” explains Managing Director Dott. Bertrand Thiry. “Due to the comeback of the quality symbol ‘made in Italy’ we have acquired many customers who are part of the international world of fashion. For them, we are an experienced, professional partner working exclusively with highly qualified staff and giving them this special feeling of exclusivity.”

The aim to satisfy individual customer need has long become a hallmark of Uno Maglia. The company which was founded in 1987 by Laura Mugnaini and Simonetta Guelfi, is a perfect example of the sophisticated Tuscan art of tailoring. In 2003, it was one of the first companies of the region obtaining the ISO 9001:2008 certification. In 2008, a Turin based investment company acquired Uno Maglia and gave new impetus.

With Dott. Bertrand Thiry in the top management, the company successfully mastered the difficult balancing act between traditional craftsmanship and latest production techniques and invested in an innovative logistics system ensuring quick deliveries.

“In 2008, it was also time to add new highlights to our collections and to introduce new fabrics such as silk, viscose, neoprene and other modern technical fabrics,” adds Dott. Thiry. “Today, we are offering women’s collections with everything from bridal gowns to coats. The men’s collections are similarly diversified.”

Today, the company has 50 employees producing 260,000 textiles a year and a turnover of eleven million EUR. France with its many international luxury brands represents the main export market. “Today, customers are looking for us,” says Dott. Thiry. “We are successful because we offer high quality and competitive prices.”

Last but not least, the fact that Uno Maglia looks after every single customer, supports him with directrices, dressmakers and stylists to create an ambiance of exclusivity is part of its success. This will not change in the future. With its luxury fashion made in Italy, Uno Maglia is going to enter new markets to impress even the most demanding customers.
