Detailed Product Description
Product benefits: 1) Sensor safe, non-corrosive 2) Superior adhesion and flexibility 3) Improved oil resistance 4) Replaces most cut gaskets 5) Low odor 6) Can be used as a gasket maker or dressing 7) Non-flammable, non-toxic Typical Applications: 1) Timing gear covers 2) Transmission pans 3) Valve covers 4) Oil pans 5) Engine Direction for Use: For assembly as form-in-place gasket 1) Remove all previous material from mating surfaces. The product is recommended for most materials, not for plastics or painted surfaces 2) For best results, clean and dry all surfaces with a residue-free solvent 3) Cut nozzle to desired bead size, 1/16 to 1/4 in diameter. An 1/8 bead is usually sufficient for most applications 4) Remove cap, puncture tube or cartridge seal and attach extension nozzle 5) Apply a continuous and even bead of silicone to one surface, first tracing the internal areas of the gasket configuration, then all surrounding bolt holes. Removeexcess with knife at once, wait silicone to drying on skin (15-20 minutes) before assembling. Do not squeeze out silicone by over tightening bolts. 6) Assemble parts immediately while silicone is still wet. Secure or tighten to recommended torque specs 7) Silicone dries in 1 hour, and fully cures in 24 hours, measured at 70'F-50% relative humidity 8) Re-torque will not be necessary after the product has cured For assembly as gasket dressing 1) Repeat steps 1 thru 4 as in previous section 2) Apply a thin film of silicone to one surface to be sealed 3) Place the pre-cut gasket onto silicone film 4) Apply a second thin to pre-cut gasket surface 5) Remove any excess and assemble parts immediately Note: 1) Not recommended for use on hand gaskets or parts continuous immersed in gasoline 2) Not for use on oxygen sensor equipped vehicles Technical date: 1) Chemical type: oxime silicone rubber 2) Specific gravity: 1.20 - 1.40 (23 Celsius degree) 3) Tack free time: 20 - 40min 4) Hardness: 20 - 35 JIS A 5) Elongation: 200 - 300% 6) Tensile strength: 1.0 - 2.0 MPa 7) Withstand pressure: 10 MPa 8) Working temperature range: -40 - +250°C 9) Colors: red, black, blue 10) Appearance: non-sag paste 11) Odor: low odor Storage: Products shall be ideally stored in a cool, dry location in unopened containers at a temperature between 8 to 28 Celsius degree unless otherwise labeled. Optimal storage is at the lower half of this temperature range. To prevent contamination of unused product, do not return any material to its original container. Packing: 144 tubes/carton
